Usability Testing
Usability testing examines how naturally users navigate, understand, complete tasks within the application. It focuses on clarity, simplicity, visual flow, mistake recovery, emotional comfort during interaction. For example, during a registration form test, you observe how quickly users identify required fields, interpret labels, notice guidance messages, respond to errors.
This type of testing uncovers friction that functional tests often overlook. A screen might work correctly from a technical perspective yet still confuse users through cluttered layout, vague language, unpredictable button placement, poor contrast. Usability feedback helps teams refine behavior so the product feels effortless instead of demanding.
