UI/GUI Testing

UI/GUI testing focuses on layout, design, consistency and how users interact with the interface. This includes layout, color consistency, button behavior, spacing, readability, animations and the overall visual flow of the interface. For example, in a mobile banking app, you might check whether buttons respond instantly, text remains clear, icons scale correctly across devices, or screens adapt smoothly through responsive design.

UI testing also ensures that interactive elements behave predictably. Buttons should activate only once, dropdowns should open without delay, forms should highlight incorrect fields clearly and navigation menus should feel intuitive. Small details like hover effects, loading indicators, or feedback messages can strongly influence how users perceive the product.
